Why Arcade Games Will Never Go Out of Style

All The Nostalgia Feels

There are actually many people out there that still collect retro arcade games. Some people just love breaking out the classic Nintendo 64 and pumping out a couple games of Mario Party with their friends.

There’s something about the classic simplicity in an older than you just don’t find in today’s games. When you play Assassin’s Creed, you have a full controller of buttons and combinations you need to worry about to pull off some fancy fighting moves, but in Street Fighter, you have 3 punches and 3 kicks.

Bring up Mario Party or 007 Goldeneye the next time you’re hanging out with your friends. It’s almost guaranteed that someone is going to get the nostalgia feels and start thinking about those good old days. There’s always someone.

In fact, chances are reading this probably made you want to dig out that SNES from your closet. Am I right?

Making Room For Frogger in a Fortnite World

Then there are the others who try to take those games out of the 80s and 90s and put them in our digital world.

In 2017, Nintendo released a new versions of its classic gaming system, the NES Classic Edition, and then the Super NES Classic Edition. These revamped systems came with some blast to the past games built in, including Castlevania, Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros., and The Legend of Zelda.

Game remasters are really popular right now. Earlier in 2018, Spyro Reignited Trilogy came out for Playstation 4, which is a new, revamped version of everyone’s favourite purple dragon, Spyro. This was a follow-up to the release of the Crash Bandicoot remastered trilogy in 2017, which was a massive hit.

Everyone wants to take their old favourites and play them in new, upgraded ways. That’s why our arcade is so popular!
